Paul Capel notes: "This boat was built for James Low of Killarney and Owen Sound. Jim told me that the hull was built from a 'carved wooden block' that he and his brother Reg of Killarney designed. Original power was Chrysler Royal straight 8 - later a Detroit 6-71 GM diesel."

(South Baymouth, ON Aug 27, 2005) Rob Farrow notes: I had another look at my photo of the builders plate and it's definitely Hull 980 not 989. The loop of the last number is too big to be a 9. So I'd say that B.J. & C.J. is Hull 980 at South Baymouth. The hull seems to match up with Shaun Vary's shot of it in 2001.
