Don Loponen photo of the Hopalong before she was modified and still in great condition. Louise Lussier Tonin comments (July 12, 2012): "Me and my uncle, when my dad used to work on the river drive June 1947."
RBF notes: Hopalong, Kapuskasing, ON, July 7th, 2006. Hopalong has a stern deck winch, small but unique. If you look closely at the Hopalong photo you'll see that it's big time altered! Notice the water line on her is about 4" below the deck...scary in my mind! She had added on ballast tanks on the stern hull to balance that huge rake she had out the bow.
